Terms of Service

1. What Namepraise is
Namepraise is a domain name evaluation tool. You submit a domain name and receive a brand-quality score from 0 to 100, built from up to 22 criteria across five perspectives: structure, phonetics, brand character, meaning, and market fit. Some criteria are computed deterministically (for example, name length or TLD tier); others are assessed by an AI model (Jev). Alongside the score we show an availability hint based on public RDAP registry records.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using Namepraise you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be capable of forming a binding contract to use Namepraise.
3. What the score is — and is not
The score is an informational, opinionated assessment of a name's brand quality. It is not:
- a price appraisal or an estimate of a domain's monetary value;
- a trademark clearance search or legal opinion — a high score does not mean the name is free of trademark conflicts;
- a guarantee that a domain is available, valuable, or suitable for your business.
The availability badge is a best-effort lookup against public RDAP records. Registries can lag, rate-limit, or report differently, and premium/reserved names may not be reflected. Always confirm availability and price with a registrar before making decisions.
4. Acceptable use
- Use the service for its intended purpose: evaluating domain names.
- Do not send automated bulk queries, scrape results, or attempt to overload, probe, or disrupt the service.
- Do not submit input intended to attack the service or third-party providers it relies on.
5. Third-party providers
To produce a result, the domain you submit is sent to:
- Jev — the AI provider that scores the model-based criteria;
- Public RDAP servers — operated by the registry of the relevant top-level domain — to check registration status.
Optional intent and audience fields supplied through the API are also sent to Jev. Google Fonts supplies the logo typeface directly to your browser. Registration links open Dynadot, where availability, pricing, registration and payment are handled under the registrar's terms. These providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies; Namepraise does not control their services.
6. Intellectual property
The Namepraise site, its design, rubric, and copy are owned by the service operator. Scores generated for your submitted domain are yours to use freely. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any domain name.
7. Service availability and changes
Namepraise is provided on a best-effort basis with no uptime guarantee. The scoring rubric and underlying AI model may change between versions, so the same domain can receive different scores over time. Fresh evaluations may vary; repeated requests can reuse a cached evaluation for about 30 minutes. Rate limits, capacity limits and a daily usage allowance may temporarily prevent new evaluations. Model certainty describes the distribution of answers, not the probability that a score is correct.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of Namepraise is not liable for any decisions you make based on the output — including domain registrations, purchases, rebranding, or business outcomes — nor for any indirect or consequential damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the service (which is zero for the free service).
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version; continued use after an update means acceptance of the revised terms.
